With the Comment Codes you can on a comment line, i.e. from customers, vendors or items control that in new factboxes on the documents these comments are shown.
With that you can let users show additional information from base data on documents.

When creating a sales document a notification will be shown if the customer has comments for this document type.
Notify the user about comments on the vendor when creating a new purchase document.
When creating a purchase document a notification will be shown if the vendor has comments for this document type.
